Hopefully below we can answer a few of your questions and thoughts on Wild Yak Fishing and what we're all about here and what we have to offer you for a fishing experience in the Lake District.

Do I need a rod licence?

- You will need to purchase an Environments Agency Rod License online, if you don't already have one

Do I need to purchase a fishing permit?

- No, the cost of the permit is included in the fishing trip, and I will buy them in advance of your trip

Can you book a trip if you are under 18 years old?

- No, you can not book the trip yourself however a young person can attend a fishing trip with us as long as they are accompanied by an adult who books the fishing trip and attends with the young person on the fishing trip, they will take full responsibility of the young person

How do I book a fishing trip with Wild Yak?

- You need to contact us at Wild Yak Fishing via email, text, phone call, through the website contact form etc, this is so we can check the diary to see if there is availability first and whether your needs are met - ie group size, time of year etc

What time of year can I book a fishing trip with Wild Yak Fishing?

- Our season is March to October

Can I purchase a gift voucher as a surprise?

- Yes you can, however please let us know the age of the person before purchasing. Then you can purchase your gift voucher through the website and the gift voucher can be sent to any email, yourself to keep it a secret or the chosen person. We also have the option of sending out a personalised voucher as something to open as a gift on the day of the surprise, photos of them can be seen on the gift voucher page

If I have never visited the Lake District can you recommend places where to stay?

- Yes, if you get in contact prior to your trip I can give a few places of recommendation depending which lake will be used for your fishing trip

If I need to cancel my trip, how can this be done?

- If you need to cancel your trip you need to do so as soon as possible by emailing wildyakfishing@gmail.com, we will acknowledge a cancellation within 5 days of receiving the email. If a new date can be booked Wild Yak will waiver cancellation charges. Your deposit is non returnable. If you cancel more than 2 weeks prior to your booked date you will be charged 50% of the cost, if you cancel more than 1 but less than 2 weeks prior you will be charged 75% of the cost and if you cancel less than 1 week prior you will be charged 100% of the cost.

Instead of cancelling my trip can I move dates, even if its to the next year?

- Yes, you can move dates prior notice but do get in touch so we can check the diary here at Wild Yak Fishing to make sure we have an available date. Yes you can move your trip to the next year if needs be

If the weather is predicated quite bad, do I lose my chance of coming on a trip?

- No, if on the date of your trip the weather is looking to bad to head out we will always contact you prior to your trip as soon as we know, we always take into consideration whether you have travelled far etc so can look at moving it to the next day to save disappointment. Good weather is not always guaranteed, especially in the Lake District.

How many people can you take out?

- Maximum 2 guests can come out due to safety reasons and equipment.
