These Terms & Conditions apply to everyone using all Wild Yak Fishing services online and offline.
Booking
Booking a Wild Yak Fishing experience is subject to availability of date and time and a contract is formed when a booking form is completed online and payment is received.
Participation in Fishing and kayaking involved a level of risk including injury, all participants MUST read and agree to the Risk Assessment (RA) as part of the booking procedure. RAs also includes Covid 19 info.
Lachlan Cameron, the guide of Wild Yak Fishing, is a fully qualified Paddle Sports Leader and is appropriately qualified to run guided fishing trips on a water craft (kayak/canoe).
As part of the booking procedure Clients will be asked to provide information relating to their current experience including level of skill on the water, fishing experience and swimming skills. It is expected that clients complete the information as fully as possible to enable Wild Yak to make decision about where to fish and ascertain the level of support needed.
On the day of the fishing trip the Guide will go over the information pack sent out to the client, and check understanding of it's content.
Liability
Clients need to accept that accidents can happen alongside injury.
Wild Yak Fishing shall not be liable for any illness, personal injury or death caused out with our control or by not adhering or listening to clear safety briefings and procedures. However this does not apply to any negligence on the behalf of Wild Yak Fishing.
Safeguarding
Any client under the age of 18 must have explicit permission from their parent/guardian to take part in a fishing trip, and the parent/guardian MUST sign all documentation.
The parent/guardian of person will need to read the risk assessments sent to client and by signing the documentation they are accepting the risks involved.
If the parent/guardian of young people under the age of 18 cannot attend the experience, Wild Yak will endeavour to ensure that another appropriate adult can attend the trip. The booking will only be accepted if there are two adults available (one being the guide).
Payments, Cancellations and Refunds
Prices may be altered for Wild Yak Fishing Services at any time, however published prices at the time of a booking will be kept and agreed with client.
A fishing trip place can only be reserved if we have received a completed booking form and a non-refundable deposit of 25% of the final price.
The outstanding cost is payable 3 weeks prior to the date of the fishing trip. In the event that the outstanding payment has not been received by Wild Yak we will treat this as a cancelled booking.
Deposits (25% of full cost) are non-refundable and cancellations made 2 weeks before the date of the trip will incur penalties.
Your fishing trip is only fully booked when we have received a completed booking form and full payment.
Your deposit is non returnable. If you cancel more than 2 weeks prior to your booked date you will be charged 50% of the cost, if you cancel more than 1 but less than 2 weeks prior you will be charged 75% of the cost and if you cancel less than 1 week prior you will be charged 100% of the cost.
If you need to cancel your trip you need to do so as soon as possible by emailing wildyakfishing@gmail.com, we will acknowledge a cancellation within 5 days of receiving the email.
If a new date can be booked Wild Yak will waiver cancellation charges.
As a small independant business without sufficient notice of a cancelation, we may not have the time to fill that space and revenue will be lost. We ask that the client will contact us with their circumstances of cancellation so we can advise on another option of booking rather than losing payment, we would rather you had the option of changing the date than losing full payment/deposit and a fishing trip.
Covid related cancellations:There is an increased risk of cancellation due to Covid19 related restrictions, please work with us to manage this best we can whether this is for the client or Guide, we don't want anyone missing out.
Clients are advised to take out their own cancellation insurance when booking a trip.
We will not refund any payments if a fish is not caught on the day of the trip booked.

Equipment
All kayaks/canoes, fishing equipment and safety equipment is owned and maintained by Wild Yak, Wild Yak has the right to charge for any equipment damaged by misuse or lost. We recommend that the client takes out their own insurance to cover the risk of any damage or loss.
All clients will receive a briefing on the safe use of all equipment.
Wild Yak does not accept any responsibility for the loss or damage of personal belongings of client whilst attending a Wild Yak Fishing trip.
Manual handling - clients may be required to assist Wild Yak to off load equipment, all clients will be given a health and safety briefing prior to the start of the session.
Communication
At Wild Yak Fishing we are a paperless company and we endeavour to do everything electronically. We are very conscious of the environment and help in any way we can, so we only ever print out documents when absolutely necessary. Clients will be contacted via email or mobile phone, however, if electronic documents are not suitable for your needs please let us know.
